National Art Honor Society Members Impress Judges with "Sharknado" Scarecrow

National Art Honor Society members Tina Nguyen and Ellen Hymel placed second in the School and Youth Category in the Scarecrow Trail contest at the New Orleans Botanical Garden. Their scarecrow, “Sharknado Attacks New Orleans,” was also chosen as the “scariest” scarecrow in their category. Scarecrows were required to be six feet tall and withstand weather conditions, but creative ideas and themes of all kinds were encouraged. Their scarecrow can be viewed in City Park until October 31.
