The Ursuline community is thrilled to welcome SAGE Dining Services on campus for the 2015-16 school year!



The 2015-16 school year will bring exciting changes to UA’s cafeteria. It will have a brand new look, and more importantly – a brand new taste. Fresh ingredients, sourced locally and prepared from scratch in small batches, will ensure that every UA student will enjoy the most flavorful and healthy cuisine possible. SAGE Dining Services custom designs menus for each community, changing seasonally to reflect the freshest products available in each region.

SAGE sources local food and organic products whenever possible. Milk will always be rbST-free and hormone free, shell eggs will be cage-free and Certified Humane, and they continually strive to increase purchases of sustainable seafood.

SAGE IS COMMITTED TO:

•    Cooking primarily from scratch, reducing use of processed foods.
•    Grilling, baking, broiling or sautéing to avoid frying.
•    Using fresh and frozen vegetables to maximize nutritional value.
•    Using fresh, ground beef that contains no lean, finely textured beef (LFTB)
•    Offering meatless entrees daily.
•    Offering fresh salads and fresh fruit daily.
•    Offering a variety of whole-grain breads, bagels and rolls.
•    Offering a complete deli bar daily, with a low-fat selection.
•    Offering 2% and skim milk at all locations.
•    Offering 100% fruit juice.
•    Cooking with trans fat-free oils, such as olive and canola.
•    Using MSG-free seasonings.
•    Using a variety of herbs and spices to reduce the use of salt.
